Extreme Under-Stimulation
Well it's back to the boring portion of my work-month, as far as I can tell. I have about 10 min worth of work sitting in front of me and a whole 2 hours to do it. I think I've done about an hours worth of work so far today. I should not complain, things could be so much worse. Like, they could decide they don't want to pay me 8 hours for one hour and 11 minutes worth of work. Of course, it is important that I'm here to answer the phone and direct people to the right place. (Just put in one minute doing just that)
I'm trying a new supplement I found at www.stairwaytohealth.com They have a supplement that is supposed to return normal ovarian function. I've been having these pesky cyst flare ups going on for years now and hope to eradicate them. I've been researching this thoroughly, apparently the cysts come from a combination of environmental toxins that act as estrogens and disrupt the normal ovulation cycle, excess stored fat on the body that holds on to estrogen and disrupts normal signalling, and excess stimulant consumption (for me this would be coffee, sugar and asthma medication). Plus, if you take any pain medicines for alleviation it makes the problem worse by suppressing prostaglandin function needed for normal ovulation. I could go on and on about follicle formation and how prostaglandins trigger the complementary immune system to release enzymes which dissolve the follicle etc. etc. Perhaps I've said too much already...
I love science! I especiallly love physiology. I actually like to read my physiology book for fun! Perhaps I should bring it to work. Of course, it might make others suspicious.

Oops... I guess I'm assuming everyone knows things about me. I'm referring to ovarian cysts. Something I've had trouble with over the past few years. They are mostly benign (except causing temporary infertility) and alot of pain, especially if they rupture - which happened to me once. Ouch!
Oh I missed part of the question: the supplement is a homeopathic preparation of various minerals and bovine parts of the various endocrine organs affected: ovaries, andrenals, pituitary, and thyroid. It's called Symplex F. The symptoms are a pinching side pain in mid-cycle and marked pms symptoms that last 2 weeks.
